Solitair Reads The Immortal Game: Introduction · 3:44pm Aug 23rd, 2014

Alright, the Project Horizons read-through is on hiatus. I think a palate-cleanser is needed after everything it’s put us through. So I’m switching to another epic fanfiction in which cartoon ponies suffer horribly and pick up mental scars like Halloween candy!

Wait.

Solitair Reads The Immortal Game: The Recycled Posts · 3:41pm Aug 23rd, 2014

In the very hypothetical case where you've seen my comments on one of the blogs of other prolific navel-gazers on the site and decided to follow me in case I had any interesting blog posts of my own to contribute (let me flatter myself for a moment), you might be disappointed at my lack of content on here. I've been trying to think of the best way to fix this problem, and I've decided to just post some things I wrote on an old Wordpress account about pony fiction. The blog's called Wordcount,

Return to Writeoffs · 1:45pm Aug 17th, 2014

I went ahead and participated in a writeoff again. I can't remember doing that since that one transformation writeoff last October. But yeah, put up a minific and I'll place my votes for the others when they open up. Stay tuned to hear about which one I wrote.

Thoughts on Robin Williams · 5:38pm Aug 13th, 2014

I feel sad that he's dead, just like everyone else in my circle of friends. But when I saw one of those friends list the movies she saw of his that she liked, I felt conflicted, because some of those movies I can't really recommend. Patch Adams in particular is a movie that I violently rejected when I first saw it, because of how childish and cloying its treatment of subjects far beyond its ken was. I didn't even know that the movie straight up lies about the details of the actual Patch Adam's

A Much More Punctual Bronycon Report · 9:12pm Aug 6th, 2014

So for those of you who saw my last blog post, where I resigned myself to being unable to go to Bronycon, looking at bright sides like being able to save my money (more on that later), it's because of that very post that I was able to get the situation fixed. I'm pretty sure my jaw dropped when Present Perfect offered me a spot in his and Midnight Quill's hotel room and car ride to Baltimare and back. Up until that moment I wouldn't have called myself a friend of his, since even though I

I might not be making it to Bronycon · 5:58pm Jul 11th, 2014

The long story short is that the plans I thought I made to book a hotel weren't actually made. I didn't say I'd commit to the other group and so they didn't put me down.

This leaves me without a hotel reservation. I found another group that expressed interest in going to Bronycon, and I'm going to see if we can agree on sharing and reserving a hotel room. I'm going to see how that works out over the next two weeks or so, but I'm trying to prepare for both possibilities.

A Much Belated Bronycon Report · 12:03am Aug 21st, 2013

Long after most people have already shared their Bronycon experiences, and I kept forgetting to do so because I need to get more control of my life. Alright, let's see if I can't break it down.

Seraphem's Analysis of Fallout Equestria · 9:44am Jul 21st, 2013

Kay, I'm going to signal boost for one of my new best friends in the fandom. Seraphem is my de facto creative consultant for my planned Fallout Equestria stories, and he's written up a chapter-by-chapter evaluation. I've only just started reading the evaluation, but from what I've seen it's intelligent and planned-out, focused on character motivations and an explanation of how the story works and why it works well. It also appears to be a mostly positive evaluation coming from someone who
