But I really do not give a damn. Now that I am back in school, I have much more important things on my mind than learning how to write pony fanfics. I just wanted to give it a try last summer, only to find it failed miserably. I appreciate the people who stepped out and decided that enough was enough.

115080 Yeah, you can call me Specty.

I am sorry. That was very immature of me to flip out like that. The only reason I did, was because I honestly did not expect to get that much attention in the first place. Plus I was too eager to take the time to improve it first. But now I can see that over here, work is taken seriously, so posting the rough draft was not the wisest idea.

I have decided that MLP is already a very pro-neurodiversiy show in of itself. All the ponies could be diagnosed with something that brings them both limitations and strengths, and they must make the best of it for themselves. Twilight may have Asperger's, but that doesn't mean she cannot learn the great things about friendship, and still being a diligent student. Pinkie Pie's hyperactivity makes her quite fun at parties. Rarity's obsessive-compulsive attention to detail makes her the best of designers, even if at times she meddles with the way other ponies perform tasks. And so on.

Hey Specty (may I call you Specty?), I just want to say that, while I did have a negative opinion of your story, I do think it's admirable that you attempted to tackle a problem which is actually a problem. I've seem some weak allegories for a lot of really weird issues, some of which aren't actually issues. Yours was, comparatively, a breath of fresh air.

If you truly want to create an allegory for the difficulty that people on the autism spectrum face, then I think that would be wonderful. Whether you want to tell it via ponies is entirely up to you. I hope that your experience with the early draft of your story taught you some important lessons, and I hope you remember them if you ever decide to try again.

Oh, and if you ever want feedback on your draft, shop it around from place to place. People can be very helpful in shaping and improving an in-progress story. Just some things to keep in mind.

Good luck!
