Grape Bloom, one of the many orphans in Hollow Shades, a village surrounded by thick, dark trees, cluttered houses made in trees or spacious underground burrows, berry bushes to make equisetic, whether it be for ill purposes, food, or just to be buried underground to be fermented, stored, or forgotten. It is known, if not known at all, that Hollow Shades is owned by street urchins, abandoned children, and runaway teenagers. It is near Manehatten, Filly Delphia - but it's closer to Foal Mountain, not to mention, Neighagra Falls. There are hardly any fights but when there is, they're swiftly finished. Ages from five to sixteen, they all treat each other like family no matter what. But sometimes they have to make tough decisions, like do they run away and hide or let folks who accidentally tramp upon their humble homestead mercy, hoping they won't do anything drastic like take away children to foster homes. But one faithless day, one made an iffy choice that ended up costing one of the foals, and they were never to be seen again by their family or anyone else they considered a dear friend who inhabited Hollow Shades.
Grape Bloom has to choose either to always resent the ones who took her away or come whole with grace.
