Bad Descriptions are exactly what they sound like, inadequate descriptions. First impressions count for a lot in everything, and descriptions are the first thing most people see next to the title and if a description is bad, your story isnt going to look good to your reader. take for example the description for my little portal, friendship is science.

yup. Twilight is now an alicorn, and about a third of the brony fandom is flipping their shit.
Some predict it will end the fandom, others are probably screaming about leaving, to the second group;
WE DON'T CARE.
Heres the thing, if your a fan fiction writer and the alicorn thing is permanent, just work around it and set your stories either before the events of the finale, or just season 3 in general.
Edit: You could also work with the alicorn for more stories.

Here, i point out mistakes stories can make in hopes of dissuading people from making them.
schizophrenic character development is what happens when characters flip flop from personality to personality, trust to trust, ect. ect. this can be seen in stories like after the honeymoon. This causes unlikable characters and incomprehensible plots.
Example from After the honeymoon include characters suddenly trusting and then not trusting chrysalis.

Hello again.
I've seen a lot of stories where the reason the changelings attacked because they were desperate for food. I think that's a bit wrong.
To my knowledge, Love isn't the changelings primary food source. Chrysalis states in the season 2 finale that by devouring the love equestria has, they would gain more power. I think love is a power source for them, not what they need to survive. Heck, Chrysalis overpowered Celestia because of Shining armor's love.
