So thanks to a very charitable friend of my brother, I now have a working monitor again. It's one of those old-school monitors; not that I have a problem with charity (Dressed for Success?) not being what I expected, but it's the amount of screen stretch that's going on. I got bored one morning and thought to write a quick little one-shotter centered around Discord. You can find it in my stories, it's the one that doesn't have to do with Lyra. As for the story I'm working on, I hit a little rough patch. Also, ditched my old ideas for a new one. I'll tell you now, when it's finished - I tend to lose steam on published pieces, so I finish them first - it will probably be my best fic ever. Out of about seven that made it that far into development.

So the projects I was working on before my time away are all dead, and now that I've faded back into obscurity where I can work in peace, I thought I'd try to revive some of my older works. Primarily one focusing around a whimsical wizard from the dark ages and my top three ponies. But that's all to come later.

I'm drained. I keep having good ideas for stories, but never finding any way to make them flow, y'know? When I started writing a while back, it was always after seeing a new episode, and I just felt like writing after that. However, with the close of season 2 far behind us, and season 3 drawing nearer, I've found that my reserves of creativity and patience with literary works have run dry.

tl;dr - I'll start back up after the debut of season 3. Consider all works on haitus until then.

I know I haven't really done much since my last blog post, but that was in part due to a distraction that is now gone. If you haven't heard of Roblox, don't look for it. But if you have, I strongly suggest jumping ship, so to speak. There are plenty of alternatives.

Whether or not I said I'd never write a crossover is irrelevant now. I'm writing a crossover. I don't want to spoil too much, though, so I'll just tell you that it's a Square Enix franchise that ISN'T Final Fantasy, which has an interesting backstory to it. So I just finished reading Bloodpool's story. It was great; I love how he has a pseudo-Dash as the main character, and pseudo-AJ as what can only now become the 'sidekick'. I can only assume he'll be adding in the rest of the main six, and they'll start with no recollection of their friends, but gradually they'll come to be friends. I can't say I wasn't inspired to write my own story, but I'm planting my hoof in the sci-fi genre.
