    Feeling bummed.

But fear not; this has inspired me to write another fanfic, which may help break my block on completing the others. I've found the best way for me to break through writer's block is to keep writing, but about different topics. Maybe this will still hold true?

Repairs were made! Possible magnum opus in progress.

So thanks to a very charitable friend of my brother, I now have a working monitor again. It's one of those old-school monitors; not that I have a problem with charity (Dressed for Success?) not being what I expected, but it's the amount of screen stretch that's going on. None of the resolutions really fit the square style of the monitor, so I'm forced to use more of my eye power, which could be

    Technical Difficulties

Afraid I have to stop working on anything for a while. I'm experiencing capacitor failure, and I don't know how long it will take before I'll get it fixed. I could do it myself, but my parents don't trust me with soldering iron, so I'm stuck waiting until they decide to do something about it. For the record, I'm writing this blog post on a library computer with a bad keyboard, which benefits me

One-shotter finished, actual story in progress.

I got bored one morning and thought to write a quick little one-shotter centered around Discord. You can find it in my stories, it's the one that doesn't have to do with Lyra. As for the story I'm working on, I hit a little rough patch. Also, ditched my old ideas for a new one. I'll tell you now, when it's finished - I tend to lose steam on published pieces, so I finish them first - it

Reviving some of my older ideas.

So the projects I was working on before my time away are all dead, and now that I've faded back into obscurity where I can work in peace, I thought I'd try to revive some of my older works. Primarily one focusing around a whimsical wizard from the dark ages and my top three ponies. But that's all to come later.

So thanks to a very charitable friend of my brother, I now have a working monitor again. It's one of those old-school monitors; not that I have a problem with charity (Dressed for Success?) not being what I expected, but it's the amount of screen stretch that's going on. None of the resolutions really fit the square style of the monitor, so I'm forced to use more of my eye power, which could be either bad or good. Only the future knows.

In the meantime, I plan to resume working on fanfiction. If you could call it 'working'. Thought I enjoy it, I'm riding a very fine line. I have to pace myself so that I don't grow weary of a project, or so that I can surmount roadblocks that come up in the writing. But at the same time, I have to put some work into it; otherwise, I lose interest and wander to other topics. A very fine line, indeed. Still, I'm very excited about the possibility of this piece, and hopefully I can finish up the prologue before the end of the week. There's no upper cap for words in a chapter, right?

Also, thanks to Elliot Wulf for the fav on Lyra and her Plushie. I had no clue people still read that; I'd almost consider it a relic.

Thanks for bearing with me, and I know this is a long post, but I feel that this necessary 'vacation' has restored just enough of my creative capabilities so that I might actually finish a project. Love and Tolerate, everypony, and I wish you only the best.
