After spending weeks in the doldrums, I finally got in gear again with my writing. It took a desperate measure, the only thing that has worked for me: I shut off my internet and my gaming computer.

It's hot summer now, too hot here in Texas to do too much outdoors if I can avoid it. So, I'm gonna stay under the A/C, keep the gaming rig turned off, and try to get more writing done. Maybe I can finally wrap up Black Angel.

Things have been really slow here, so I thought I probably should post some kind of status report. I am actively working on two stories: Black Angel and The Golden Dawn. Black Angel will finish first, at which time I will pick up on A Very Minty Summer Sun Celebration once again. (It's still my favorite!) This morning I posted chapter 9 of Black Angel, and it actually got featured briefly. I've had a story in the feature box before, but this time it held on for close to an hour, which I guess is my record. It picked up 14 faves over the course of the day. Since I posted this long-overdue update to A Very Minty Summer Sun Celebration, it's been interesting to see the response. It was the first time ever that one of my stories has hit the featured box (albeit briefly). It has picked up 36 faves, over the course of yesterday and today. It picked up quite a few up-votes too.
