Pardon the random post but I saw your message to MaxBeezy on his user page. The last contact I had with him was over six months ago, so it's possible he's just no longer active any more. Which would be a pity, because his work - and MNLiE trilogy in particular - touched me too.

Anyway, before he disappeared, he gave me permission to write an officially endorsed side story for the first instalment, and gave it his approval throughout, before disappearing once I'd finished. I wouldn't for a second claim to be as good as him, and I hope this doesn't come across as crass self-promotion rather than celebration, but, well, he said he liked it, so... This is what I wrote.
