RariDash is one of those ships that seems like it should be way more popular than it is, because it makes so much sense on the surface. There are a bunch of shallow reasons that make it seem like shipping fans would naturally gravitate towards this pairing: Together they both match a very typical silly romance trope, they both seem like they would naturally be attracted to each other, and because their personalities are very similar.

I think this is the first episode since I started watching the show that I ignored all of the promo stuff before watching and so didn’t have any idea going in what would happen in the episode. It was nice. Gilda showing up and all the griffon stuff was a pleasant surprise. I think I’ll keep watching episodes blind. It’s more fun.

RariShy is one of maybe two or three ships that feel reasonable to me within the context of the show. With most ships, since you’re making a romantic relationship where one doesn’t and can’t exist in canon, you have to spend some time justifying it in the story to get me behind it.
