Hey, I don't really write ponyfic anymore, bye · 1:28am Jan 22nd, 2016

I'm not sure what to write here besides "Duh."

I haven't been regularly posting stories, blogs, comments, and whatever for a long time. But someone asked, and I get that it can be frustrating when people fade to black without so much as a last word, so here I am.

Season 5 Finale - Reactions · 9:02pm Nov 29th, 2015

Season 5 is already done? I didn’t even realize the finale was yesterday until someone mentioned it to me. This has been a weird season. I can barely remember half the episodes. But all right, here we go.

- Opening
- So, uh, not that it isn’t still decently funny, but how many times can we redo the ‘Twilight overprepares for something’ gag? I feel like I’ve seen this a dozen times this season alone.

- Twilight’s lecture

S5 - 23 The Hooffields and the McColts · 8:58pm Nov 15th, 2015

- Opening
- Fluttershy is bookclubbing wrong. You’re supposed to come twenty minutes late because you didn’t read the book, even though no one else did either, and then spend a couple hours drinking cheap wine with middle-aged moms and playing saucy party games.

This is a screen cap of a book club.

- Twilight overpreparing

S5 - 22 What About Discord - Reactions · 10:08pm Nov 8th, 2015

- Opening
- You know, poke fun at Twilight all you want, but organizing is really relaxing and satisfying. It’s easy, straight forward, you get to personalize, you get to feel like you’re working even though you’re not actually accomplishing anything. Organizing is great.

This is a screen cap of books.

S5-18 Crusaders of the Lost Mark - Reactions · 4:08am Oct 11th, 2015

I haven’t watched any of the new episodes in a while, but I heard some spoilery things about this one that got me interested. So here I am.

Opening - Jumping into a song right at the beginning? Has this ever been done before? It’s a decent little diddly, and I like that it’s one of those that fits into the plot of the episode instead of being a random pop song thrown in the middle of an episode.
- ‘I was hoping you would be my campaign managers!’

Let's talk about writing silly stories · 6:26pm Sep 12th, 2015

Humor is weird. When you’re trying to write something that’s supposed to be funny, it seems like total common sense that at least to start off you should write something you find funny. You should use yourself as a gauge. If you laugh while writing it, it’s funny and you should leave it in. If you don’t laugh, cut it out. Makes sense. Simple stuff.

S5-13 Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep? - Reactions · 1:13am Jul 13th, 2015

Fun fact: The first third or so of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sleep? is very good. The last two-thirds of the novel devolve into a convoluted incomprehensible mess. Most of Philip K. Dick’s novels follow that formula, because he wrote his novels in exhausting binges while high on LSD and mescaline, and then refused to revise them afterwards because everyone told him he was a literary genius. Of course, he was a literary genius, but only for the first third of his high, showcasing that

How do you motivate yourself to write? · 8:39pm Jul 10th, 2015

I used to write a thousand words of fiction every day. It was easy. A thousand words was nothing. It didn't have to be good, and it usually wasn't. Editing is for making words good. Writing is just for making words. I didn't have a schedule. I wrote whenever I felt like. I didn't get anything out of it. Usually no one read them but me. Sometimes I wrote off prompts, and sometimes I just wrote whatever, and sometimes I wrote off an outline, and sometimes I continued some story I'd already
