You may have noticed that I didn't put a blog up last Friday. This is for two reasons:
1: I wrote a new story and I wanted to write it after posting that, and there were problems involving the cover art...
2: I'm dying again with another terrible cold after getting over one just a week ago. Life is pain.
So lately, there's been this song based on spongebob going around, and I am addicted.
I did too.
So, living in Japan, English is seen as 'very cool' because everyone studies it, most people can't fathom how people learn this shit, and being fluent in it is very highly regarded by just about everyone. This has led to a lot of clothing being produced that has written english on it, which of course, is cool. Now, if you'd kindly view the following Dogen video, you can see how this goes pretty quickly.
2024 has come, and with it came Japan's biggest earthquake since 2011. We got hit by a whopping 7.6 on the Noto peninsula in Ishikawa prefecture at about 4:15PM on January 1st.
And by a year, I mean a year's worth of anime!
I could do some self reflection here about the year that's past in the next few days, but I'll actually do that when the year passes. I turned 28 last Tuesday, and rather than dwell on my feelings about important things, I'd like to talk about my hobby(?) of 15 or so years of watching weekly anime. So, let me take you back to January of this year.
In about five days, I start Christmas/New Years (more the latter here in Japan) break. because of that, today and yesterday were my last days at this school until January, and that means we were doing a holiday lesson, this time centered around Christmas. I'll be doing this again over the next three days, but my dear School Marm will only be there for part of Wednesday.
