Yes, it is polite. Some authors of well-known 'Verses do have some ground rules that they've set that allow anyone to write for their narratives. My suggestion is to check Groups to see what ones have been started about the stories yu want to write for and see if the author has given blanket permission there (I know Fallout: Equestria has an excellently organized and maintained group). Most authors of very popular 'Verses would quickly be overwhelmed if they attempted to respond to each person who writes to them, so save that for second... and be sure to give credit to the original author of whatever 'Verse you are writing for in the byline of your story. Thanks! Appreciate the welcome. I do have a quick item that need confirmation... I would assume that it is strongly encouraged to ask someone to use their universe before writing in it (e.g. Fallout Equestria settings, etc.).
