Feeling personally responsible for her afflictions, Derpy Hooves regularly visits her now-insane girlfriend Screw Loose at the Ponyville Hospital.

The two had plans to move in together and Derpy, always trying to be helpful, was bringing in "Loosey's" furniture. She slipped up, sending Screw Loose and the furniture tumbling down the stairs, which resulted in a grave brain injury that caused her to think she's a dog and forget almost everything of her past life. For some reason though, she seems to remember Derpy, and is particularly fond of her though she doesn't know why.

Since then, Derpy has been faithfully visiting everyday, in the hopes that somehow her being there would trigger some kind of improvement.
