Happy new years!

Though life has been busy at times, you may be pleased to hear that neither I nor the story have died. In fact, I recently completed the last major piece of chapter 05, and it is now in a final draft, pending pre-reader feedback. As soon as I hear from a few of them, I should be able to post it.

So chapter 3 progresses apace as I peck away on planes, trains and coffee breaks.

Thanks to a couple of long trips, however, I've made decent progress (for me). The text is currently around 8k words, though only 1/3 of that is what I'd consider fleshed out. I'm considering splitting the chapter (again) to even things out and reduce the wait for you folks.

So I just saw the latest episode. I must say, they did a good job, and I loved the interaction and character building of all the ponies. It's especially cool to get a bit more Luna, and to see RD supporting Scootaloo. It does still beg the question, what exactly is up with Scootaloo's folks, though.

I know, I know, it's not too clever to start a new story when I'm so slow at updating the one I already have.

Nevertheless, I got a scene stuck in my head, and it just wouldn't leave. Now it's finally done, so I can refocus on writing Chapter 3.

So why isn't the new story up? Well, I'm hoping to find an editor to squash those last few bugs. So hopefully in a day or two, things will be rolling.

So the second chapter is coming together, oh so slowly. Still, it will eventually be ready, and hopefully not too long from now.

To avoid repeating some of the delay (and downvotes, culminating in my rewrite of the intro scene), I'm hoping to find a pre-reader or two. With a bit of feedback, I aim to avoid repeating some of the same mistakes of chapter 1.
