In Scootaloo’s Secret, Rarity was about to break a Pinkie Promise and divulge a secret. This upcoming story reveals the secret she promised to keep. For while nopony breaks a Pinkie Promise, that restriction doesn’t apply to authors.

I write using Microsoft Word, and there's a few items that the automatic spelling and grammar check flags.

It thinks pegasus should be capitalized.

It thinks the word "who" in a phrase like "a pony who cares" should be replaced by "that".

Clearly, the program needs a pony mod.

I wrote Scootaloo's Secret while on vacation.

That vacation inspired another one-shot story. It stars Trixie, with a brand new performance for everypony to enjoy!

There's one element of canon that's always bothered me. Something that shouldn't exist in Equestria. And something that gave me the idea for a dark and gory story.

The idea has been in my head for a while, but I never felt inclined to develop it until something happened. I came up with the perfect last line for the story:

“It’s no skin off my back.”

I've just submitted a one-shot Scootaloo story. Hopefully, it will be posted here faster than Tuesday. I got inspired while on vacation, and wrote it in my free time.

The description for the story is a familiar one. But if you read Crossing Over, that story's first chapter sounded familiar as well, like the typical human in Equestria story.

Someday soon, I'll post the start of a longer story. But Scootaloo's Secret has given me an idea for another one-shot.

If you were submitting your first story to a fanfiction site, why would you highlight that fact in the story's description? If the goal is to solicit feedback, why not just say "Feedback is welcome and appreciated"?

Sunday, I submitted a silly one-shot story inspired by a typo in another story I read here.

Monday, I responded to a blog post on the League of Extraordinary Gentlecolts experiment, mentioning how hard it is to get noticed when stories don't get featured or even make an appearance in the sidebar of popular stories.

Tuesday before work, I saw Applejack's Bar was #11 in the queue. It was #1 in the queue at the start of the workday. Then it was posted.

It took about thirty-six hours to make its way through the queue, but a one-shot story I wrote inspired by a typo is now posted. So go ahead and visit Applejack's new bar.

There must be quite a backlog of stories waiting for approval! It's been more than 24 hours.

Let's see if it's there when I wake up in the morning.

My normal plan when submitting a story is to find a somewhat related screenshot and use that with the story's submission.

This plan won't work for a future story of mine. Anyone know of an artist willing to illustrate a group shot of a cast of six characters?
