I'm curious, given the synesthetic properties of the music (at least for Octavia) in this story, what kind of music you imagine this being like. Another question, something I wonder about with every music-centric story I read, is if you have any musical training yourself. It's always interesting to see what side certain depictions of musicality come from. - Nadnerb
Hey guys, iphone got stolen at work today so now I'm having to change all the things attached to that phone... ugh. I put it down for 5 minutes by accident and someone goes and jacks it. And I can't remotely erase the phone so if they break into the phone, they'll be able to access all the things, including Fimfiction. So I'm gonna be busy over the course of the next few days changing passwords and logins for things.
Sad face is sad.
Thank you guys SOOO much for the love and support y'all have shown Forbidden Melodies! I write every story with the mindset that the work was worth the effort as long as one person finds a moment of little jovial escape from our mundane lives for a while, an audience of one so to speak. I still hold to that ideal, but it doesn't mean I can't super excited when so many of you have liked, disliked, commented, and favorited it. And to those silent heroes that have sent me GSP errors you've come
Impromptu Edit: Hey! Sorry from breaking in through time travel and ninja'ing my own blog post, but I had to seeing the front page this morning. Thank you guys so much for getting Forbidden Melodies in the Featured box! I wasn't expecting that, but I always hope that something I write gets in there for the funzies. Now if only I could get Unraveling in there... Back to the proper blog post!
Okay, so it's been roughly a day since I posted the most recent chapter of Unraveling a Rainbow, and going back through the comments and demographic sections of my story, I've come across a trend that has plagued me since day one of trying to write this story as well an issue that I've had for a very long time.
Clarity.
This chapter might be good, it might be bad. No one has looked at it other than me so I'm assuming it's probably not going to end well either way. I just have that nagging feeling. You know, the one after you release a chapter that hasn't been proofed by an editor.
Aww poo! Jeray's got a lot of his plate with school starting up so I'm in need of an editor again. Until that spot is filled, I'm going to be flying solo getting these chapters up which means I really need to look long and hard before I post something. Going without an editor is generally a bad idea, but even a second opinion is better than none so if any of ya'll are interested, I've got the most recent chapter of Unraveling in its draft form ready for a second pair of eyes. I'll see what I
Yes, I am still alive, and would you believe I've been working constantly on Unraveling a Rainbow? The next chapter is nearing completion, I assure you, but let's just say there has been several iterations of it as I've gotten the work done on it. Not even my editor jeray2000 has seen or heard a word from me about this chapter because I haven't been satisfied with it until now as the chapter kinda... goes its own way so to speak. Though the more obvious matter is Luna's little adventure in the
