For those of you playing along at home: I've gotten my life back together in large part, and am doing a round of editing and revising on Derpy Heart in preparation to submitting it to Equestria Daily. Hopefully updates will follow soon, and I also have a new story in the works.

I know I don't exactly have hordes of fans, but I have a few followers.

To them, I wanted to say that I'm sorry I haven't been updating.

In the past few months I have buried a beloved pet, lost my oldest friend, and seen the end of a long term relationship, and the family life that goes with it.

I will be fine, eventually... but I just don't have it in me to write about happy little ponies at the present.

I hope to at a later time.

As you may have noticed, I'm trying to get more writing done. However, my normal pre-reader/copyeditor has been a bit overwhelmed lately. If anyone is up to date on "Derpy Heart" and/or "Princesses and Stepladders", enjoys the stories, and wishes to lend a hand, it would be most welcome.

And now I'm done with blog-spamming you guys for a while!

Since the FAQ specifically forbids editing and re-editing chapters to push your story to the "latest updates" page, I should point out that I didn't mean to do that. I herped a derp with a couple of my edits and had to re-do them. Sorry about that!

I'm just making a few updates to early chapters of Derpy Heart, to fix punctuation and dialect things. Nothing to see here...

I extend my apologies to my hordes of adoring readers... or at least, dozens of moderately interested readers. Life has prevented me from writing much in the past month. But I'm back!

The new Pinkie Pie story has gone over amazingly well. I am seriously shocked.

I'm also working on updates to both Derpy Heart and Princesses & Stepladders, so stay tuned!

I don't want to be an attention whore... more than I already am inherently for posting fanfic, but I'd love to hear reactions to the "deleted scene". I'm happy to write slightly more cloppy things if there is an interest in reading them, but in order to do so I need to know if I'm doing it well, poorly, or decently but in need of work. I'm happy to keep it clean, or to let it get filthy, because at this point I could easily go in either direction. :)

I am playing with ideas that may result In "Princesses and Stepladders" getting at least one more chapter, or a sequel (not sure how best to structure that, to be honest) before too long.

Compared to the number of reads, faves, and follows I've gotten, I haven't received much feedback on how "mature" I ought to let it be, so input on that score is of interest to me. I'm not going to be crowd sourcing the writing or anything, but I hope to pitch my writing to my audien.

In case anyone is worried, despite the direction I took with "Princesses and Stepladders", "Derpy Heart" will remain family friendly and as clean as the driven snow.

A couple of readers have asked for more... details on what transpired in the part of the night that Duskwind was unable to remember in the morning. In particular, I was asked to be... a bit more explicit than I had been. I've never written that sort of thing before, except about humans, but I figured that I would take a shot at it.
