My mother and I both have cell phones. (Mobile phones, if you prefer.) We use them on a pretty regular basis. To continue being able to use them, we purchase those phone cards that add minutes and days to the service.

Both are Alcatel phones using the TracFone service. Mine is older, with hers having been purchased this year. For some reason, someone decided to increase the difficulty in both checking and adding airtime. To compare:

During the storms, our power was knocked out. It stayed out until a few hours ago, when it came on... for about half a minute, I guess? Then it went off for a few hours, then came on... this time for 45 minutes. Then, a short period, and it was on again, and that's where we are now. We've had to throw out some food so it doesn't make us sick, but not a lot.

So the Season 5 DVDs came today. Can't complain about that! It was a bit unexpected, however, as I was under the impression that it was to ship today. Ah well, guess things changed when I wasn't looking.

I have not watched the episodes properly yet, having only read them on the wiki. I do have to say, though, that while the important part is the data on the DVD, they seem to have not come up with anything interesting for the inside of the case.

Gotta say, I'm not too happy with this episode, and that's not something I say often. To me, it smacks of the same old "You'd better celebrate this holiday or you're WRONG" attitude one feels inundated with if one reveals that one doesn't celebrate Christmas.

Then again, it is a play on A Christmas Carol, so it succeeded in that regard.
