Quick Question about tags · 9:57am Oct 29th, 2015

Well, it finally happened. After a long period of writer's block, a new job, and general laziness, I have finally finished my latest story in the Backgroundverse!

I just need one more thing to clear up.

The Cutting Room Floor. · 11:31pm Apr 10th, 2015

The problem with being a creative mind is that there are so many ideas to toy around with and, unfortunately, some of them will be left on the cutting room floor (or whatever equivalent a particular medium has). And it can be for a number of reasons, from lack of continued interest to external conflictions.

And as a human being, I am not immune to this. I’ve got a whole bunch of stories in my head just wanting to get out, but not all of them will see the light of day.

My Favorite Ships... Or "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" · 9:25pm Feb 14th, 2015

Shipping.

For many, it’s a source of enjoyment. For others, it’s the most important part of the show. For the rest, not even worth consideration.

No matter what side of the shipping spectrum you find yourself on, you’d be hard pressed to deny that in this, or any, fandom, shipping makes up a sizable part of the artwork/analysis/general discussion. And while I’m not really into shipping in general, MLP has given me a few that seem to agree with me more and more.

Sonata, the Good Girl... or "The Irredeemable Redeemable Siren" · 9:26pm Feb 8th, 2015

The Dazzlings from Rainbow Rocks might not be the absolute best villains the series has had to offer, but they are among the most interesting. And no siren seems more beloved than one Sonata Dusk. Adagio Dazzle may have been the leader, but Sonata stole the show by basically being Pinkie Pie if she were a bad guy. Seriously, if you look up the amount of stories on this site that feature just her, without Adagio or Aria, she has a higher story count than the other two combined (though that may

2014... Or "The Year in Review" · 11:30pm Dec 31st, 2014

December. It’s a lot of different things to a lot of different people. But one of the most prominent attitudes is this being a time to reflect on the year gone by.

2014 is probably one of the best years to be a brony. It may not have the same excitement to it as it seemed to have during Season 2, but this was definitely up there. At the very least, throughout the year, I was, to quote one BlackGryph0n, “Proud to be a Brony.”

Backgroundverse Reading! · 12:47am Dec 19th, 2014

A fairly new face on the fanfiction reading scene (and by new, I mean this is his first reading ever), Night Guard Rob Royale has read the first chapter of My Little Background Pony: Friendship is Magic. Go ahead and give it a listen.

The rest should be up in due time.

Top Ten "Meet the Bronies" Videos... or "The Bronalysis/Team Fortress 2 Project" · 1:01am Nov 25th, 2014

If you’ve been paying attention to YouTube for the past few months, you’ll no doubt have noticed a little project involving some of your favorite (and otherwise) analysis bronies. For those of you out of the loop, here’s the short version: Several well-known brony YouTubers are collaborating on a project that acts as a crossover/parody of the popular Valve game Team Fortress 2, a cooperative/competitive first-person shooter that is marked by its colorful, quirky characters/classes (that’s a lot
