Hi all,

My father went home to be with the Lord on August 30, 2020 and we had a private family funeral Friday Sept. 4. I just got back home and I am still in the grieving process. I have accepted the fact that he is no longer in pain and I will see him and other family members who have gone home before. He had hip surgery after a fall at his farm, but was in poor health the week before he passed. He was 73 years of age.

A lot of folks are reflecting on the past decade (2010-2019) in anticipation of 2020, so here's my decade. Lots of ups and downs. I also have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (high-functioning Autism) since 1999, but I managed to earn a Bachelor's of Liberal Arts from University of Rio Grande in 2002.

Just to let you know I had a death in the family (my maternal grandmother went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Oct. 20, 2018). She was 91 years old. I was at the funeral today and was one of the Pall Bearers. It's never easy losing a loved one, especially one who was a big part of your formative years.
