An unpopular series for obvious reasons (Though I'd bet some people have the fetishes involved), but if you hold aside the particulars of your implementation which really trigger folks, it is quite a valid analogy and critique of modern society (regardless of which country these days); feels very 1984 and the illusion of choice is more real than it ever has been; so much manufactured consent and political astroturfing that most people can't comprehend the gordian knot of a psycological trap they are in. If you keep that part of it and perhaps choose a different subject matter at the surface level, you've got a diamond in the rough there.
