Dawn wont save you

Twilight Sparkle is the newest princess of Equestria and she has just recently gotten her own castle. She now lives there with her baby dragon assistant spike, but something else is hiding there, something they can never prepare for.

"Spike!" called Twilight "Come here and help me move these new books into the library wing." the baby dragon entered the room with a yawn

"I'm enjoying the larger space, but I don't like having to replace all of our stuff, especially when this place is so easy to get lost in." he said with a frown.

"I know spike but we are going to have to get used to it. You know as well as I do that we can't go back to the way things were." the purple princess said "Besides after we move the boxes we can go to bed." The young dragon stopped his complaints and began to pick up boxes and move them.

Celestia's sun was starting to set when then had finished organizing boxes. "Well now that that is done I'm going to bed. Goodnight Twilight!" said spike with a stretch.

"Goodnight spike! I will have some gems ready for you tomorrow." and with that Twilight went to her chosen bedroom. As the purple alicorn set her crown down a shadow slipped under the door behind her and hid on the ceiling. When twilight closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep the shadow began to reach towards her.

When the princess of friendship woke up from an apparently fretful sleep, she began to go about her routine as normal. She brushed her mane in a warped funhouse mirror 'What was that doing there, she thought it was just a normal mirror before' moving downstairs to the kitchen Twilight found the silverware and dishes doing a conga 'Now I know something is wrong, I will have to ask Fluttershy to be more stern with Discord because he is obviously the only one responsible' The alicorn preceded to eat some cereal upside down before she began swimming through the air to her library 'It's getting worse I hope I can talk to my friends soon' The sight she found at her destination shocked the book loving mare to her core. Her precious new books were scattered all over the floor, and some began playing classical music opening and closing repeatedly. Twilight shook her head and stomped away. She began preparing a plate of gems for spike, he would need his strength to help her fix this.

The new princess awoke with a start. 'Whew it was just a dream!' She repeated her routine and headed downstairs finding a scene that scared her more than anything ever before. A plate of gems sat at the table and a bowl of cereal was spilled on the floor, the dishware that was previously packed up was now stacked oddly in the sink. Fearing other things were amiss she dashed to the library and found nothing wrong. 'Maybe I just was sleepwalking, I've never done that before but I guess it could happen.' Twilight woke spike, the quietly ate breakfast and spent the rest of the day unpacking. 'Maybe now my dreams will be more normal. I spent the whole day working so maybe I wont have the energy to sleepwalk tonight!' The purple mare thought as she climbed into bed and went to sleep.

Twilight got out of bed to find her castle full of holes, shocked she looked through one a saw nothing but darkness. "What happened here!" she said in a voice she didn't recognize. A crash and some distorted voices from downstairs stopped her from questioning it, as she ran down to investigate. Something weird was now standing in the castle kitchen, It was tall, bipedal, skinny, and had a face that looked like it had been inside a mixer. The alicorn stared mouth agape as the creature began to smile with razor sharp grime covered teeth. A nearby window had been smashed and was most likely the source of the disturbance, and the entry point for this thing. Suddenly the monster spoke through its' sideways mouth"THE DAWN WONT SAVE YOU LITTLE PONY....

Twilight woke screaming and ran out the door with only one thing on her mind. 'I must get my friends!'
