Dear Journal,

Ugh, today was exhausting.

I had to work extra long hours because I had to train to do something, then my boss asked me if I could cover someone else's shift. I was really only supposed to do training today, so I wasn't ready for actual working.

On the plus side, I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and got one of my favorite snacks: jerky. It's waaaay too expensive, but it still tastes pretty good. I also got a case of spiked seltzer, for later.

My friends invited me to go with them on a road trip next week. I would usually be totally down for that, but with all the awkwardness going on lately, I think it'd be best if I kept my distance.

Also, I can't imagine how embarrassed I'd feel if we ended up sitting next to each other. For hours. I think I'd need at least three shots in my system before even thinking about doing that.

Speaking of shots, I have a bottle of tequila that's calling to me. And I can't think of a better way to forget embarrassing myself in front of her.

I should hide my phone before I start drinking. I REALLY don't want to call her while drunk off my ass.
