Granted, my idea would have been a comedy, focusing on what happens when Solaire, with his extravagant language, meets an actual embodiment of the sun. The fic would have been called "Grossly Incandescent" and proceeded in that tone.

I told Laurentius about powerful Pyromancy, only for him to turn Hollow as well.
I saved Rhea from the Tomb of the Giants, only for her to be murdered under my nose.
I helped Siegmeyer, only for him to fall anyway.
And I watched in horror as Solaire succumbed to worship of a false sun.

It was all I could do to try and just help who I could, mostly Quelaag's sister. My personal headcanon is that my character rekindled the First Flame because he knew he was close to becoming Hollow.
