The Dark Side of Equestria

Chapter Three

Nothing happened. I felt like the most idiotic person in the world. I turned around but then I noticed that a light was coming from behind. I turned around and a door sized swirl of blood red and very dark purple replaced the location of the button. I was temporarily stunned. I expected a portal to Equestria to be colorful and full of glitter like one of Rarity's dress. I cautiously walked into the swirl and I was teleported into a nightmare. I saw a Rainbow streak zoom past me and ponies were running everywhere. Buildings were burning and when I was about to turn around to leave a burning log blocked my way. I looked around for the nearest safety and no hiding place from danger was seen. I ran without looking back turning without thinking every time I hit a blockade. I then ended up in a town which seemed to look a bit like Canterlot. The more I ran the less the fire raged. I stopped at a building surrounded by a forcefield. It was Sugarcube Corner! I walked straight through the forcefield and went inside and saw a pony with a cotton candy like mane hiding behind a counter. It only took me a few seconds to recognize her. Pinkie Pie! I didn't believe it until I heard her shriek. "EEEEEEK AN ALIEN!" She ran into her kitchen and came back with a semi-burnt wooden rolling pin. She was about hit me when Twilight Sparkle came out of hiding. "Wait!" she shouted. Pinkie Pie stopped and had a confused face. "Why?" she said "He's an alien! He's the reason for the chaos!" Twilight stared in an unamused way. "Because. . ." I started to relax thinking she would say I'm a friend. "We can do research!" I stiffened up when I heard her say that. Twilight's horn started to glow and when I was about to bolt out she trapped me in a cage. "Twilight Sparkle I'm a friend!" I said. She turned around with a confused yet serious face. "How do you know my name?" she said. I started to panic. "Uhhh. . .uhm. . .errr" Twilight started to ask me more and more questions so fast that even Pinkie looked confused. The rest of the gang came out of the kitchen. "Whats going on?" Applejack said and then her eyes became fixed on me. "WHAT THE HAY IS THAT?!" Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy looked in the direction she was and their jaws dropped. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!" Fluttershy screamed and hid behind the counter. I felt a sense of sadness to have the entire crew to be scared of me. Rainbow Dash flew up to me and went "Whatsup' man!" And gave me a brohoof. I felt better and went. "Whatsup Dashie!" She looked at me and smiled and seemed to not care that I already knew her name. Twilight Sparkle interrupted and went. "Hmmm, he knows our language" and got a notepad which seemed to come out of mid-air and started to write on it. Pinkie Pie went up and said "Ooh ooh! Do you know my name?! And seemed to forget that I was a different species. "Pinkie Pie" I said with courage. "Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!" She hopped around and ran in circles. I felt confused that they all seemed to forget about the chaotic things that were going on outside. Twilight stared at me and told the crew to gather around. They all whispered for about two minutes and when they stopped Twilight let me free. Rarity went up to me and started to mess with my clothes. "I like your style!" She said to me even though I was just wearing my regular old clothes. I just said a simple "Thanks" and went up to Twilight. "Whats going on out there?" I asked. Twilight just looked at me for a few seconds and said. "Discord has returned and he's bringing more destruction to Equestria than ever." I wasn't really surprised about that but the thing that shocked me was how much damage he caused. "What are you?" Twilight asked me. "Uhm. . .I'm a human" I said. She then yet again, took notes while I answered her questions that would probably be stupid if she were human. The crew said that they were going somewhere and I had to go with them. We ended up in Princess Celestia's castle. Celestia came out to greet the ponies and I gave a bow. She looked at me for a moment and went back to talking to the ponies. When she was done talking to them the Twilight said. "We have to find the Elements of Harmony to defeat Discord and he has hidden all six of the elements. . . "It. . .it's hopeless!" Fluttershy said. All of the ponies put their heads down. It made me feel bad to see all the ponies sad. "Cmon'!" All the ponies looked at me. "You defeated him once, who says you can't defeat Discord again?!" "Yeah!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Whos with me?" She said grabbing my hand and putting it out. First Applejack added her hoof, then Pinkie Pie while adding a shreik of excitement, and all the other ponies followed. We all did a cheer and lifted our hands/hoofs in the air while being interrupted with a small baseball sized meteor flying past us with many others following. "Find cover!" Applejack shouted and we all ran to the nearest building. I looked around to see if everything was alright. "Okay" Twilight started. "where should we start to look first?" "How about the Labyrinth?" Rainbow Dash said. "Thats destroyed. . ." Applejack said sarcasticly
