Ch.2 A Dragon? AWESOME!!!

(Everfree, 9 am)

That same morning the three humans woke up early, well, Tino did anyways.

"I can't believe how those two can sleep for that long, well, Shade anyways Ray is just on stand-by to regain some energy" The large man thought as he sat at the edge of their small camp, the camp was rather simple, consisting only of three basic travel mattresses, meaning they're rather thin, and a campfire.

"I can't believe it's been eleven years, so much has happened already my dear Shade" Tino said to himself.

(Flashback, eleven years ago, orphanage on earth)

"Are you sure mister Fable? I already told you she's, different" A small woman said.

Next to her stood a man, he was seven feet tall, had brown hair, green eyes, and wore a black business suit, and looked like he was in his mid twenties, it was Tino in disguise. You see, on planet earth only roughly five percent of the population has the ability to use magic, their bodies are much more resilient then a normal human body, and a Wizard has crazy colored hair and eyes. Wizards were looked down upon by the rest of society, mostly because most Wizards were disowned at a young age by their parents, they turn to a live of crime.

"I am, I want to see this girl" Tino said, his full name was Florentine Fable, but in the crime world he was known as Tino. "And I know what you mean by different, just because she's a Wizard doesn't mean she's a monster, now take me to her"

"R-right this way mister Fable" The small woman said as she led Tino to an iron cell door at the end of a long hallway. The woman knocked on the door. "Elizabeth! Someone's here for you!" The woman yelled through a small hatch in the door.

"Go away" A soft and obviously sad voice said back.

"Someone's here for you damn it! He might adopt you!"

"I don't want to hurt anyone... go away" The voice said again.

"You try, I don't give a damn about that kid anyway" The small woman said as she walked away after giving the keys to the door to Tino.

Without a second thought Tino opened the door, in the far corner of the room was a little girl sitting with her back to him, her sky blue hair a stark contrast with the gloomy mood of the room. She didn't look older then nine years.

"Hey, it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you" Tino said as he put his right hand on the girls shoulder.

"I said go away!" The girl yelled as she turned around, a pulse of raw magic throwing Tino flat on his ass.

"Oh no! No I didn't mean to! Please don't hurt me!" She yelled in fear as Tino stood up and closed the door. Walking over to the cowering little girl, Tino took a knee in front of her, and let his disguise drop, his hair turning grey and pink again, and his eyes turning pink as well.

"...You're... like me?" The little girl said, her blue purple eyes filled with confusion.

"Yes, and I promise I won't hurt you, in fact, if you let me, I'll teach you how to use your magic, sound good?" Tino said with a smile.

"R... really? This isn't some joke by the other kids?" The girl asked full of hope.

Tino shook his head. "Mind telling me your name kid?"

"...Elizabeth, Elizabeth Park" Elizabeth said extending her hand.

"Florentine, Florentine Fable, but you can call me Tino" Tino said as he shook the girls hand.

The girl smiled as she suddenly hugged the large man. Hesitant at first, Tino slowly gave in and hugged the girl back, they stayed like that for a couple minutes before Tino let loose and stood back up, re-activating his disguise with his magic. "Wait here a little bit I gotta sign the adoption papers" He said as he walked back out the door. Leaving the girl standing there with the biggest ever smile on her face.

(End flashback)

"So much has happened in those eleven years, and then four years ago we discovered Ray in an abandoned military facility, but that's a story to relive another time" Tino said to himself.

Just then Shade woke up.

*yawn* "Morning dad, sleep well?" Shade asked siting up with her legs crossed, not bothering to put on different clothes then the ones she slept in, all of them slept in the clothes they wore yesterday anyways.

"I slept fine, better then ever actually, you?" Tino said.

"Same" Shade said as she looked around before spotting Ray's still sleeping, she softly stood up and creeped over to him. Once she stood next to Ray's resting form she slammed her foot down next to his head as she yelled. "Wakey wakey Raymond it's a beauti-"

She couldn't end that sentence as Ray's fist literally extended upwards and hit her in the face. Hard. All the while Ray mumbled. "Shatup Shade 'm resting"

"Why you little!" Shade yelled almost beginning to strangle Ray.

"You know that won't work right?" Tino said more as a statement then a question.

"I know... it's just, he can be such a jackass sometimes" Shade grumbled as she walked back to her mattress and sat down.

"Don't worry, everything'll be fine, we'll be back home eventually, I promise" Tino said.

"Hit the nail in the head as always" Shade said with a sigh. "You sure though, for all we know we're on an entirely different planet!"

"I'm sure, it might take some work but we'll get home.. I promise" Tino said with his hand over his heart.

Shade smiled at that. "Good"

Then Ray stood up, the soft buzzing of 'tired' servo motors accompanying his rise. "Morning Tino, Shade" He said as he made his head spin around in 360 degrees a couple times.

"Oh that feels good in the early morning" Ray said as his head stopped spinning.

"Finally awake?" Shade asked.

"Stupid Shade, you know I don't REALLY sleep do you?" Ray stated with a smug grin on his face.

Shade promptly retorted with grumbles.

(Ponyville, 1.30 pm, library)

"So, how powerful do you all think the creatures are?" Twilight asked the rest of the mane six.

The six of them had returned to Ponyville about a half hour ago, and were now sitting in Twilight's library conversing about the three creatures that were supposedly very powerful.

"Well they can't be THAT powerful if the princess isn't going after 'em herself right? Right?" Rainbow offered, looking a little more scared then she wanted herself to look.

"That's a good hypothesis Rainbow but princess Celestia told us that she couldn't go herself because she had a lot of duties right now, so that idea is out of the water" Twilight explained.

"Ah think we should just get it over with an fin' those darn things" Applejack retorted.

"Yeah! That way I can throw them a party quicker!" Pinkie Pie yelled.

At that everypony, even Fluttershy, promptly facehoofed.

"Pinkie darling, we don't even know if they are sentient" Rarity deadpanned.

"What! Why would they be sentries that's just stupid!" Pinkie dumbassed.

More facehoofs all around.

"Whatever let's just find those things" Rainbow said as she flew out the door.

"That's probably the best course of action" Twilight said as she and the rest walked out the door, well, Pinkie hopped but still.

(2 pm, Everfree forest)

"Are you sure we're going the right way Twilight? I don't think the creatures would be this deep in the forest" Rarity worriedly said.

"Don't worry Rarity, I might not be as tuned in to magic signatures as the princess but even I can pick up three incredibly powerful ones" Twilight assured her.

Soon enough the mane six heard a female voice from deeper within the forest.

"I that a dragon!? AWESOME!!!"

Fluttershy eeped as she hid behind Applejack.

"Who was that?" Rainbow asked to nopony in particular as a massive dragon roar rumbled through the forest.

"Looks like a basic fire dragon, you take it on Ray" Another voice came from within the forest.

"They're gonna take on a dragon!? Are those ponies crazy!?" Twilight yelled as she and the rest picked up the pace. Soon enough they came upon a cave only to hear something from within.

"Core Switch; Dragon Lacrima... ROAR OF THE..."

Twilight's eyes widened as she realized what it was. "Everypony duck!!!" She yelled as she magically threw herself and the rest flat on the ground.

"PLASMA DRAGON!!!

Not a second after a beam of dark green what looked like fire passed over them almost cooking them alive. It stopped as fast as it came.

"Is everypony alright?" Twilight asked, only to hear Rarity scream.

"RARITY!!!" The remaining five yelled as they turned to Rarity... only to see her perfectly fine.

"My hear! Look what it did to my hair!!!" Rarity yelled as she held her now burned hair in her magic.

Everypony let lose a breath they didn't know they were holding, because it was SO awful to have a little bit of your mane burned away instead of being melted into a puddle.

"What was that!?" Rainbow yelled.

"THAT, was Dragon Slayer magic!" Twilight said in complete and utter shock.

"D-D-D-Dragon Slayer magic!?" Fluttershy said at a normal tone.

"Yes, but, but how is that possible!? Dragon Slayers grew extinct four hundred years ago!" Twilight yelled with even more shock.

"Hold on a sec, what's a Dragon Slayer?" Applejack asked with a confused look on her face.

"A Dragon Slayer is a pony or a griffin or any other being that has natural magic, that wields Dragon Magic to defeat it's opponents" Twilight explained.

"Dragon magic? Dragons have magic?" Rainbow asked, not understanding why a giant fire-breathing lizard would need magic.

"Yes they do Rainbow, but that's not important right now, let's go the creatures might be in here!" Twilight said as she trotted into the cave, the cave, surprisingly, was mostly untouched, one would think that a breath like the one just now would melt everything in sight but no, the cave was fine... somehow.

"Dude that was AWESOME!!! Did you see how that dragon went like; ROOOOOAAAR!!! And you were like ROAR OF THE PLASMA DRAGON!!! Oh that was awesome!" The mane six heard from within the cave, soon they saw the source of the shouting, the three humans we all know were in the middle of a large chamber filled to the brim with gold and gems. There they saw Tino sitting on a separate pile of gems actually MUNCHING ON THE GEMS.

Quickly though Ray noticed the six of them. "Are those.. ponies?" He said with a surprised look on his face.

"Oh my gosh they're so cute!" Shade said making a pouty face as she held her hands against her cheeks.

The mane six said nothing as they were shocked with the fact that the beings could talk... and found them cute.

Ray was not amused as he loudly clapped his hands together, shocking the mane six out of their stupor.

"Don't worry, we won't do anything to hurt you" Tino said calmly as he kept munching on gems.

"How... how can you eat gems?" Twilight asked hesitantly.

"Oh my gosh they can talk!? AWESOME!!!" Shade yelled only to be silenced by Tino holding his hand in the air.

"I don't think that's the reason you're here is it?" Tino asked calmly, now munching on a diamond.

"Oh right, sorry" Twilight said sheepishly. "Me and my friends here were tasked by the ruler of our country, princes Celestia, to find three incredibly powerful magic signatures that appeared out of nowhere, I take it you three are the owners of those signatures?"

"Well the three of us are some of the most powerful wizards on planet earth so I guess we are" Shade said after calming down a bit.

"Earth? What's that?" Rainbow asked with a confused look on her face.

"Just like I thought, we're not on earth anymore" Ray said followed by him sighing.

"Again, what's earth?" Rainbow asked again.

"Earth... is our planet, it's our home, where we come from" Tino sadly said.

"Then, what are you doing here?" Rarity asked.

"Shall we be honest with them?" Shade asked Ray and Tino.

Ray and Tino looked at each other then back at Shade, and nodded.

"On earth, the three of us are... not that famous, I'll just say it like that" Shade slowly said.

"Why, aren't you three powerful wizards? Doesn't that make you famous?" Twilight asked.

"On earth only roughly five percent of the population has the ability to use magic, and that's not a good thing, most wizards are disowned by their parents and put in orphanages at a young age" Tino explained.

The mane six all gasped at that.

"But why? With magic you can do such great things!" Twilight exclaimed.

"We're simply tools" Shade said bitterly.

"On earth the three of us are known as The Slayers, a trio of Slayers protecting our country from dragons, but even though we do that, when we walk on the streets the chance that we're called sins is far greater then us being called saints" Tino bitterly added.

"... It's probably best if we drop this topic, what are your names?" Twilight asked.

"I'm Elizabeth Park, but everybody calls me Shade, I'm the Shadow Dragon Slayer" Shade said.

"My name is Raymond Ruvio, but my friends know me simply as Ray, I'm the Plasma Dragon Slayer" Ray said.

"... And my name is Florentine Fable, better known as Tino, father to Shade and the Seraph... God... Slayer" Tino said, hesitating on the end.

"GOD SLAYER!?" The mane six yelled.

"Yes, I have the power to... *sigh*... take down a god, never did get to test it though, and I hope I never will have to" Tino said, having stopped eating gems a couple minutes ago

"Okay, I'm not gonna go to deep into to that, but father to Shade? Aren't you a little to young to be?" Twilight asked.

"Tino adopted me when I was nine years old, he was twenty five at the time, I'm currently twenty and he's thirty six" Shade explained.

"And how old are you?" Twilight asked Ray.

"As far as I know I'm four years old, that needs a little explanation, I lost my memory four and a half years ago" Ray said.

"Oh, that sucks" Rainbow said.

"It does, but luckily four years ago Shade and Tino found me at the facility I woke up, they helped me rediscover my past, and trained me" Ray explained.

"That's very generous of them, to help a complete stranger" Rarity said.

"Before anything else, what are your names?" Tino asked.

"Oh I'm sorry, my name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie" Twilight said indicating her friends.

"Weird names" Tino said.

"Like you have a normal name!" Rainbow retorted.

"Actually, Florentine, Raymond and Elizabeth are pretty popular names in the griffon kingdom" Twilight deadpanned.

"Oh, I didn't know that" Rainbow guiltily said.

"Hmm, now, do you three mind coming with us?" Twilight asked the three humans.

"Where to?" Shade asked.

"The town of Ponyville" Twilight simply said.

"... Nah, I think we'll stay here" Shade said again.

"What!? You mean to stay here!? In the Everfree forest!?" Fluttershy exclaimed.

"Got a problem with that?" Tino asked.

"Yeah of course we do! The Everfree is full of predators and monsters!" Twilight yelled.

"...We'll be fine, trust me" Tino said with a genuine smile.

"FINE!" Twilight yelled before she stomped of, grumbling all they while.

"Twilight!" Rarity yelled as she and the rest of the mane six followed their friend.

"Are you sure you're gonna be fine?" Applejack asked as she looked Tino straight in the eyes.

"Yes, we'll be fine, we can handle ourselves" Tino said with nothing but honesty in his eyes.

"... Okay then, I'll Twilight to calm down then" And with that Applejack followed her friends.

"Now, let's liven up the place shall we?" Tino said with a smile as the mane six disappeared from view.

I meant to get this out yesterday, oh well, one day doesn't hurt to much right?

Now you might be asking, "where did the dragon go?" It vaporized, yeah, that's how hot Ray's plasma attacks are
