In this entry, Luna is showing the first hints of her being jealous - the first hints of the nightmare moon inside of her.

Dear Diary,

You know how I got my cutie mark yesterday? Well, today Tia says that I have grown a little. She says that I am starting to look more like a teenager pony. I can't wait until I'm taller and more powerful, like Tia.

Today for breakfast, Tia made my favorite dish - a carrot and daisy sandwich. I cried a little bit after I ate the first bite just because Tia made it exactly how mom used to make it. Mom would teach Tia how to cook, and I'm glad that she did.

I raised the stars yesterday, and today I'll be taking on the duties of the night on my own. I can't wait! Being the lunar princess is amazing. Me - Princess Luna.

But I wish that I was older than Tia. I mean, she has a lot more power than me. Maybe when I get older I'll get stronger than her and I'll be number 1. I've got to work towards that.
