Now I ask, oh merciful Creator, my greatest hope
that by you my spirit shall be granted salvation,
so I will no longer be a thief in darkness
and begin my journey home.

Author's Note:

Just an Act 1 break scene. Anyway, if you have any particular comments or questions about any past or future bits you can always put them right here or in any Act Break too. It's also just a bit of a space for me to talk about any upcoming parts. Such as...

Act 1 has something of a tense change from past to present. It's mostly because the whole idea of this story started out as a writing experiment to see if I could do a second person present tense story, and a short story turned into a long one. The skeletal outline is done for the story as a whole but is, of course, subject to change. I do have a bit of a buffer of chapters too so I'm hoping to update this twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (Post Script: each Act will review the update schedule. Act 2 is once per week just so not overburden readers with so many 4,500 word chapters, unless I hear otherwise).

So a few 'FYI' things: there are going to be 'flashbacks' and you'll see why. The main part of Act 1 is almost slice-of-life-esque as I'm a believer in establishing normalcy before turning things around. Shipping: it's not a huge theme of the story, so while there might be some bits and hints, it's arguably just affection, it's mostly first person, and it's not some 'shipping-verse' style thing. Anglo-Saxon, it's cool and translating it might give you a hint on things through the series, but it's not strictly necessary... and a þ sounds like a 'th'.

Anyhow, y'all take care now and see ya' next time, eh?
