I was a little trepidatious about a raider fronted story at first, but Happy's unique (I presume low INT) view of tthe world is facinating, as is the mystery of who, or what, Angry is.
The gray buck blinked, raising an eyebrow as he glanced to either side. He could see-hear more text-speeches passing by, the word-letters that usually narrated him briefly shifting their attention.
(Thanks for the read/exchange. Glad to hear you've been enjoying it. It's a pretty cool thing, contributing to a shared universe with other writers. FoE's kind of a rare star for storytellers in that respect.)
Last chapters have been a mite confusing with the bit of a bounce around in the timeline, forward (I think) , then back to the present, now back to the past, but I'm still liking Happy's perspective.

The gray buck blushed. He wasn't used to having such a big audience-party.
(Ah, perhaps some tweaking of the chapter titles is in order to avoid that ambiguity. Your thinking is correct.)
