Thank you for the comment gapaot; it's posts like that that really spark my motivation to sit down and write. Happy's story has been a fun one to tell so far and I'm really looking forward to seeing where it leads to in the future.

This is a story of a colt named Happy. Happy lived with friends in a big wasteland and he was raider. Raider's life was simple: he roamed across wasteland looking for ponies and killed them. Orders came to him from the voice in his head, telling him which ponies to kill, how to maim them and in what order. This is what Happy did every day of every month of every year, and althought others might have considered it cruel and monstrous, Happy relished every moment that the orders came in, as thought he had been made exactly for this.
And Happy...was happy.
And then one day, something very peculiar happened. Something that would forever change Happy. Something he could never quite forget.
(obviously Stanley Parable inspired)
Sorry about the long turnaround on Chapter 7. Things have been a little on the busy side with finals week. Don't worry though, Happy's story is far from over.

The gray buck tilted his head to the side, scratching at the mangy patch on his neck with a back leg as the text-speeches reached his ears.
It was hard to say for certain. Day-years and month-weeks were hard to keep track of sometimes. He could go whole fort-calendars just lazing around without really doing anything of significance at all.
Glancing back at the broken terminal in front of him, he nodded to himself, bringing a hoof to the side of his head in a haphazard salute.
But that said, he would be the best Happy a Happy could be, because a happy Happy was a Happy happy, and happy Happies were happy indeed.

I was a little trepidatious about a raider fronted story at first, but Happy's unique (I presume low INT) view of tthe world is facinating, as is the mystery of who, or what, Angry is.
I'll keep on going with this one. No doubt.

Last chapters have been a mite confusing with the bit of a bounce around in the timeline, forward (I think) , then back to the present, now back to the past, but I'm still liking Happy's perspective.

Was weird to see that this story started updating again. It was always one of those fics that hung at the back of my mind. But dang only for me to catch up and end it on a cliff hanger

And Happy acquiring the dreaded emotion of guilt.
Be interesting to see how this plays out and if Happy will tell Serenity that he feels it is his fault. I imagine she will forgive him readily, Gilly maybe not...
