In the Equestria Games chapter, Sonic will first appear wearing a blue life vest. This is a reference to the fact that Sonic can't swim, and the life vest he wore in the 2012 and 2016 Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

As of today, I'm putting the stories I'm currently writing (Flying Lessons and CMI) on hiatus because I don't know how much time I'll have to write in the future.

I'm a little excited about this, because this is the first time I'll have used her. Muffins will make a brief appearance as a mailmare in the first chapter of the second arc.

A (possible) one time antagonist will appear in the first chapter of the second arc of CMI, as will one to tie in the Sonic spin-off (pun unintended).

Shadow Mario: This is not the same Shadow Mario that appeared in Super Mario Sunshine. Instead, this is a shadowy version of Mario formed by Shadestar to deride Mario's good name. Shadow Mario is constantly engulfed in a cloud of darkness and wears the same clothes as Mario himself. Mario will fight him in the first chapter of the second arc.

There is going to be a second arc of Can Mario Interact. Sky mentioned that there is only one way to permanently defeat Shadestar, so the second arc will revolve around finding the Aurora Hearts. Considering Bros Attacks for CMI. I might load up my old save files of Superstar Saga and, Bowser's Inside Story, Dream Team, and Paper Jam to reacquaint myself with some the less familiar ones. And in case you're wondering why I'm not going to do that with Partners in Time, it's because my DS Lite is on the fritz and it won't work on a 3DS. I also have one made up Bros Attack I'm considering, which is the Simultaneous Ground Pound from New Super Mario Bros Wii/U.
