During a night where I had some trouble getting to sleep, I was smacked in the back of the head by a sudden bout of inspiration and drive to give The Royal Fillies a redux, cleaning things up here and there, doing some rewriting, and even adding some stuff. So far, I've given four chapters the Redux treatment and have started on a fifth.

My current one, aside from continuing to either live or not die (I can only choose one), is to get a new chapter of Royal Fillies up before my birthday. Some of the next chapter is written, but it's not coming along at a sufficiently expedited pace for my (or your) liking.

I credit this delay to I Burn's prominence in my mind, along with corresponding with another author, a recent trip, and Borderlands 2.

I just couldn't get to Night Vale because I have to be at work early today. I hate shifts that start in the morning. It messes with my routines. Also, today is the start of seven consecutive work days.

Also, the new chapter's not quite done, so I'll get on that. The next chapter's planned, but may not come on the 15th.

I was planning on making the next chapter of Royal Fillies being the same day as the most recent one, just from Skyla's perspective. It's been a month and I'm not feeling the will to write it. So, I will edit the title and author notes to reflect this fact. In the meantime, I've got to figure out what to do for the next chapter. If there's something you'd like to see, just say so and I'll read and consider it.

Due to concerns on my part about quality and time, I will be changing my update schedule for Royal Fillies. New chapters will still come after I listen to Night Vale, but the main priority will be quality. If it's not ready when I listen to Night Vale, then it will wait.

I originally set this pattern of deadlines to keep myself writing, and it worked, though some quality was sacrificed. I will still aim for at least one chapter per month.

In fact, I may have Oct 1st's chapter more written out already, since I started that as just writing a scene I had in mind. Due to low battery on my tablet, I won't be posting the newest chapter of The Royal Fillies at the usual time, since I'll be holding off on the newest ep of Welcome to Night Vale. As I type this, my tablet is showing 11% battery. I will simply type up more Inova stuff and listen to music. No internet.

I can promise that the new chapter will be up on the 17th at the latest.

Due to work, I most likely won't be able to post even a 500 word chapter of Royal Fillies on time. If I do manage it, it will be a short thing, as the recent chapters have been. After that and another chapter or something, I'm planning (plan made a few seconds after I typed up 'chapter'. The plan is subject to change) to dedicate two chapters to each year of Inova and Skyla's education.

I've been working on a Log Horizon fic over the past couple of weeks with great output of chapters (not posted anywhere yet). I have three contributors so far for that fic as well, who shall remain unknown to those reading because I am too lazy to list them.
