So I recently got a comment on Shades of Night (can you believe it's been almost a year since that story ended?), and said comment came with a link to a beautiful piece of fan art depicting one of the outfits Nightmare Moon tried on in Chapter Four:
For those that have been following me long enough, you’ll know that it’s kind-of a tradition for me to post an Afterthoughts blog after the final chapter is posted.
It really doesn’t feel like six months since I’ve started Shades of Night. It’s also hard to believe that I’ve been working on this story (May-November) longer than I’ve been working on MOA (December-May). I guess it’s because the first few months of MOA were spent working on that story alone.
So Dudeler made a piece of fan art for me about a week ago (week ago) as a way of thanking me for the surprise fan art I made for him, and I so foolishly forgot to share it with you guys. He decided to draw Honey Pot from MOA and Nightshade from SoN.
Go show him some love!
Just a little heads-up on my progress with the story. As you guys know, SoN is almost finished, with only a few chapters left. How many chapters?
Two. Just two chapters.
Okay, so I'm in the process of writing the next chapter of SoN, but there's something coming up that might affect my progress.
This message is mainly for people who follow Shades of Night but are either not following me or not following My Overbearing Aunt: Alternate Perspectives.

This is the first time I've gotten fan art for one of my stories, and I felt the need to share it with you guys so you can all see it for yourselves.
Here's a preview of the next chapter to hold you over until I get it done. I'm hoping to have it finished by this week. As usual, I haven't proofread it yet, so there may be some errors in there.
I noticed something on my neck. After closer examination, I found that it was a red bruise that ran from midway down my neck to the trap of my shoulder, and it was a little blue in some spots.
"What the fuck," I said to myself as I put my hand to the bruise. "How did this-"
I didn't forget you guys. Chapter 10 of SoN has been written, and I've sent it to my editor. In the meantime, I've gotten half of chapter 11 done, as well. To make up for having you guys wait for so long, I have a 500 (or so) word preview of Chapter 10 for you guys. Keep in mind that it hasn't been proofread since I save the proofreading process until after I get the revised chapter from my editor.
Saturday morning.
So it's been three chapters, and the plot has now established itself, which makes it an appropriate time to ask this question:

I enlisted the help of my good friend danail24 to be my editor for "Shades of Night". He recently edited the transformation scene at the end of chapter one, and it's a hundred times better, so give that a look.
