Art Raffle Results! · 2:28am Aug 28th, 2018
So I finally got the picture from dinohorse's art raffle, and let me just say, the results are amazing. I finally ended up deciding on Valencia as the image request, and here's the finished product!

I wanted to make the full joke with the GIF, but this is the best I could do.
Admittedly, this is something I've been wanting to do for a while, but once the new IYGALL coverart came out, I felt all the more motivated to try it out. Namely, the big surprise of the week is: IYGALL no longer has that weird time skip in the beginning!
When you come up with an amazing new OC with an adorable color scheme specifically tailored to your interests.
When you come up with an interesting backstory for that OC that ensures optimal character development.
I finally got around to watching Wreck-It Ralph, and let me just say, I am so glad I chose to see it after IYGALL finished, 'cause boy, does "IYGALL video game AU" sound weird as heck. As much as I enjoyed the movie...after that twist, I can't stop thinking about how similar the two are. (If anyone else has noticed the similarity, rest assured, it surprised me as much as it did you.)
In any case, what this means is I know the first thing I'm gonna draw 2018~
The official sequel, If You Have a Little Hope, is coming in early 2018, so this is more of a Hearth's Warming promo oneshot with the characters. Still, it gives you a glimpse into how the characters celebrate the season and the conflict I imagine adopted children might have this time of year (between biological/adopted family), so I hope you all enjoy If You Need a Little Faith!
[WARNING: A lot of these are random facts about the series that you might not necessarily care about. This post also contains spoilers for the entire series, and I'll separate the facts into the acts they correspond in order to keep people from encountering spoilers.]
ACT I:
[Since IYGALL has been such a massively long ride, I figured there's too much for me to talk about in just one blog post. Today's is more cut-and-dry history, while tomorrow's will be more of just random thoughts I had at various points while writing. Also, just gonna warn you, I do crack some dumb jokes in this section]
I'll have the Postscript out in a few hours, but for now, the (final) new part is coming to you in a matter of minutes! I'll never forget this experience and what all of you have done for me. Also, I'll probably never write a 250k+ word fic again. So there's that.
* Ask Me Anything, not American Music Awards (like I thought it meant up until a few months ago).
I didn't want to announce it until I was absolutely sure it'd fit into my schedule, but the IYGALL finale will drop at about 6 or so tomorrow night. Since most of the plot points have already been resolved, it'll be a bit more of an epilogue-type episode with some surprises along the way.
I think you'll find that this quote comes true in a surprisingly satisfying way this time.
I tried my best to make this arc as good as the Madmare in the Attic one that came before. Even if it's not as good as that one, it's still what you've all been waiting for: Coco going off on everything she's seen throughout the story and fighting back for real!
IYGALL Love Start! New Part Time!
I never once believed, in all my time of writing it, that it would ever get to be this long! It'll probably cap at about 254,000, but I'm glad to know that I'm close to achieving my milestone.
It involves cookie cakes. Lots and lots of cookie cakes.
So basically, this can be a good intro to the IYGALL universe or a nice supplement. It's written like an Act I part (with a bit more humor), so it was a nice break for me to write fluffy/humorous stuff about these two in the midst of all this Act V drama. Feel free to hit it up and enjoy!
While the two stories have stayed pretty separate so far, I've told some of you that a plot twist from IGYALL will show up in Light Pollution before it shows up in the parent series...if it does at all. This twist is a teensy bit controversial, so I'm not sure whether or not to directly mention it in the original. You won't need to know it to enjoy IGYALL or any of the other stories in the 'verse, but if you're especially curious, feel free to check it out!
Blue coat and yellow mane? Yep, Star Tracker and Scene Stealer are definitely bros. In fact, Star Tracker probably laid it on so thick because he knows his brother has an awesome girlfriend and he feels the need to top him. Weird teenage sibling rivalry and stuff, or at least that's my headcanon.
Due to this weekend's MLP Movie release, I've decided to forgo the usual weekend release schedule, and so the new part is out today! Same channel, different time, so feel free to check it out!
Meanwhile, I'll be trying to get tickets ASAP for the movie before EqD spoils it. Hope you all come out and support your Mane 6!
If you're caught up on the story, please feel free to check it out! It's already off the Featured List, so I wanted make sure everyone knows it's out. Also, after this part, IGYALL will only have 5 parts left! We're down to the wire, everyone!
I'll either write the new Light Pollution this week or enter the DiamondBloom contest. I have an idea in mind for a oneshot, but I have no clue if I'm going to do it or not. Either way, more new content for everyone!
As of Saturday, IGYALL will only have six parts left until the end, and while I know I want to have a shorter Act V, I'm feeling a bit tempted to get rid of the soliloquies/side stories in these two acts. Originally, I'd wanted to do them for every act, and especially for Cameo, but nowadays, all I'm thinking is that these six parts could be better spent in other areas.
