If you guys liked Maniacal, I think you might like this story: Broken Gladiator. It offers an interesting alternative interpretation of the Mane-iac's personality and motivations, without necessarily making her a Draco In Leather Pants. It's a reasonably quick read, too, so there's that. :)

Well, that episode happened.

I'll start with the bad: The moral, while nice, seemed both rather hypocritical given Spike's treatment in nearly every other episode ever, and was handled in an incredibly unsubtle way. As the title theme started, I found myself going "This is going to be one of those 'believe in yourself' situations, isn't it?" I mean, it is a great message, but seems almost oversaturated nowdays.
