So I was going to post being a little butthurt that I lost my Nintendo 3ds on the buses, but then worse news came in. A true pioneer has passed today. One who truly was more than Earthbound, who was in a Pokemon Stadium of his own, who knew how important is was for us to understand... who would send his passion directly to you.

... I lost more than a 3ds today... I lost a hero.

Arigato, Mr Iwata.

So the news has come out that Satoru Iwata, Global President of Nintendo, has passed away at the age of 55.

I am shocked that he died so young. I honestly hadn't an earthly clue this might happen, but I'm not going to despair over this. Since I don't feel like repeating myself, I'll copy/paste my thoughts on his passing from a youtube comment I made on the matter:

It's awful that he passed away. It really is. But, instead of feeling sad that he's gone, we should be happy that he was able to leave such an amazing legacy behind before he left us. I mean, this man pretty much made my childhood. Almost all of my early gaming memories were Nintendo games. This man helped create such amazing games that affected us all differently.
