Amethyst Theatre Reviews: The Cutie Re-Mark · 4:32am Aug 8th, 2016

I know people don't usually like to read and/or watch reviews of episodes that are not yet "retro", but if I don't get this out of my system, I'm going to scream again:

First off: that entrance by Starlight. Holy crap, that gave me chills.

Amethyst Theatre Reviews: Trollhunters (Netflix Original Series) · 2:25pm Aug 12th, 2018

It should come as a surprise to no one (Or perhaps everyone) that I am able to look past the minor flaws of a film to see its worth in story and message, especially given the fandoms I am proud to be a part of. I enjoy the Star Wars Prequels for the immense worldbuilding they contained, I treasure the Tolkien films for their stories of bravery and heart, and the Narnia trilogy for their fantastical new take on the treasured Christian fantasy series. And today, as the dawn rises, I offer a new

Amethyst Theatre Reviews: To Where and Back Again. Pt #1 · 1:04am Nov 5th, 2016

[SPOILERS!]

So we start off with a new area of the castle, which is always a treat for fanfic writers who like world-building, no matter how small. And Starlight gets some surprise mail from her old village, bearing an invitation that causes her some... slight panic, to put it nicely.

Amethyst Theatre Reviews: To Where and Back Again. Pt #2 · 3:43am Nov 5th, 2016

And we're back!

I wanted to touch a little further on the amazing way that Trixie and Discord are bouncing off each other this episode: I mean think about it, humbled showboating egomaniac meets befriended treacherous narcissist. What could possibly go wrong? Hasbro does the interaction perfectly between these two, and it had me in stitches.

Also, that reference Discord made with his armor as he rode the pig is going to be bugging me for weeks...

Top 9 Underrated Fics: Amethyst Theatre Reviews (Shoutouts) · 3:25am Jul 1st, 2017

Let's face it, a lot of good stuff gets overlooked on here. Especially if you don't turn of the View Mature setting. But sometimes I am absolutely dumbfounded by how the masterpieces listed below can have so few views, and very little likes when they clearly deserve more!

Top 9 Personal Villains: Amethyst Theatre Reviews · 2:15am Apr 15th, 2018

As promised back in October, it's time I finally get around to adding up the Top 9 villains that I love/hate/love to hate the most. Putting together this list is going to be pretty tricky, so I figure it's best to get this done now before I have a lot on my mind.
Warning, this review may contain spoilers for The Flash, Star Wars, Agents of SHIELD, Treasure Planet, and even Lord of the Rings. You have been warned.

WAIT A MINUTE... (Brief Analysis) · 8:35pm Jun 17th, 2017

So, I was re-watching the My Little Dashie Mini-Movie (don't judge me... I love a good cry...) when I had another one of those epiphanies: a lot like the one I had about the Changelings in a past review, only this one found yet another very peculiar point...
