VHS Opening: MADELINE (1998; Columbia TriStar) · 4:57pm Jul 17th, 2016
(Before you ask me, I'm still looking for my copy of this because I have yet to have it in my collection; same with Cruising and My Little Pony: Escape from Catrina)

Opening of one of several VHS tapes of the original Powerpuff Girls that were issued by Warner Home Video in 2000. Judging by this video here, looks like my prediction that a lot of people would like the original (one I made in my head back in the later 2000s) was right!
Disney-ite Kyle Ostrum has been an avid Disney VHS tape collector since 2002. He has seen what he feels is the company's latest animated triumph, Zootopia, which is about to come out on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital HD. To herald its upcoming release on home video, he has designed art for the film's would be VHS videocassette release:
Got more things today!
I just received VHS copies of films from my math teacher Miss Harumi - three are from her native Japan.
American tapes are:
MEN DON'T LEAVE, which I've never even heard of before. Apparently, the back cover of it tells me that it'll keep me roaring. It's a Warner Home Video release from 1990; it's one of the last tapes from Warner to have an end label.
(I intend to buy this at PDQ Records on July 28, 2016 provided it still is at PDQ. I already have this but with no case.)
The opening to this tape has a preview for various Rugrats tapes on VHS that were available at the time (of which I still don't have Phil and Lil: Double Trouble) - note that at the end it says, ''Available Only from Nickelodeon!''
*NOTE: I add these to my Disney VHS collection because they are Disney subsidiaries.*
TOUCHSTONE:
1. BABY, SECRET OF THE LOST LEGEND
DATE: 1985
PRINT DATE: Either October 4 or 9, 1985 (ink is fading fast from the bottom sticker)
PLACE OF PURCHASE: http://www.eBay.com (former rental; from Tolley's Video Mart, which was a regional chain of stores in the state of Tennessee; this came from their Springfield (Tennessee) locale)
I got 11 tapes from PDQ - now "essentially a rock and roll museum" with business cards! Basically I have modified this blog to instead contain a repost of yesterday's VHS update with correction (in regards to the business card on the VHS of Dirty Dancing). Also, IN HIGH-QUALITY HD. The earlier upload was deleted as I couldn't be arsed to re-film this update.
Acquired 9 VHS tapes including my first four Japanese cassettes. Also got me a few magazines. This was done after I acquired 3 tapes and those magazines at Bookman's.
最初の4つの日本のカセットを含む9枚のVHSテープを購入しました。 また私にはいくつかの雑誌があります。 これは、私が3本のテープとその雑誌をBookman's(スピードウェイ)で購入した後に行われました。
(Had to use Japanese writing because of the Japanese tapes I have gained)
EDIT: OK, I'd like to know who had the gall to put a dislike there.
The first 13 Walt Disney Home Video titles put out for rental on March 4, 1980, when Disney was working with Fotomat to get into the video business. These titles were later made for sale along with rental in October 1980.
(Scans will appear soon)
1. 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA
DATE: 10-80 (For Sale Only Version)
Several videos to update today. Several of them were acquired earlier.
And well, here's one of those users. If you've got a VCR, this may strike your curiosity up quite a bit! These are divided from one collection to another and they include a introduction to the tapes to tell you what collecting them is all about. NOTE: As these videos were all filmed in late 2010, some of the commentary may be partly or entirely outdated. A page-breaker for obvious reasons.
