Last Saturday, I dropped a quick blog and said that the word count on the next chapter was 8500. Its now 9300!
I think I vastly underestimated how big this whole Silverstone arc would actually be. It's 9300 now, but I think that'll easily reach 12k when the whole thing is done.

Just been messing around with my own Character AI of Twilight Sparkle. I initially tried to set it up as Sci-Twi with a penchant for cars, but it seems that setting it as Twilight Sparkle just defaults to the pony Twilight. I figured this out a few sentences in. Anyway, here's some of the conversation I had with a car-obsessed Princess Twilight Sparkle.
It's been a little bit over a month since the first half of Silverstone was uploaded, don't worry, it won't take years... However, the next chapter has just hit the 8500 wordcount! Had a bit of a slower period with this fic, over the last few weeks. Funny thing, Albi announced a few days ago that Spectacular Seven was getting a new chapter, the first since September 2021! That just got dropped today.
January is a month. Shocking revelation, I know. It's quite possibly the worst month ever, and I'll explain why...
I have been ill, TWICE, since about the thirteenth of January. First was for a good week until the 20th, and I've now been ill since last Thursday, the 26th. Only five days in between weren't pure hell. Nice one!
Hopped onto Horizon 4 for a little bit of a nostalgia drive, checked the Festival Playlist and saw that the photo challenge was right where Luke's house is. If that isn't a coincidence, I don't know what is!

The new chapter IS UP!!!
Well, half of it. I had an honest to god lightbulb moment just a moment ago where I thought "Wait a damn minute, why am I teasing people with the next chapter, when I could just split it and release the first half now?!"
Sorry I made you guys wait like eight months for this. The same won't happen for the second half. Plus, I feel like reading 16k plus words might be a bit daunting, so I more or less chopped it in two.
Pretty run of the mill progress update, since I said I'd get one done today. Chapter is currently sitting at 15,800 words. I just finished writing in the rest of the section featuring Ken Block, which was pretty hard to write without getting emotional.
It's Thursday and I still can't believe he's gone.
I wanted to get the chapter done today, but I couldn't leave it like it was, sorry for the minor delay that's caused. A couple days shouldn't be that bad, I hope.
Woke up this morning, and I flicked onto Instagram. First thing to pop up was the devastating news that Ken Block has passed away due to a snowmobile accident.
Never imagined this would happen, especially so early into the new year. The automotive world has lost one of the greatest legends of the last two decades. All the insane driving and daring stunts, we have so much to thank Ken for.
Currently wordcount is at 14,200 words right now. Very happy with the steady rate I've been working on the chapter recently.
I had a little bit of a setback on Boxing Day, but I'm way past that now. Current estimate of the completed chapter is possibly 16-17,000 words. I'm confident I can get that done before the 5th of January, if I put my mind to it. The current section of the chapter is quite laid back, and I find it easier to write those.
Perseverance. A feeling I've dearly missed.

Hope you're all doing well, and having a nice holiday period. I cannot believe that 2022 is almost over, its went by blazingly fast!
It's currently the 17th of December, on a very chilly Saturday night. I've got a break from college until the 5th of January and I'm going to be using this time to study for the next year, as well as much needed relaxation.
How yall doin?
I know it's been a while, 366 days since the last chapter, as I'm writing this. I certainly don't need to be reminded of it, lol. I'm sorry for not getting the chapter out so quickly, as usual, but I've had other things to focus on. Namely being college as its really ramping up now.
Yeah, sorry if you got a notification that I uploaded a new chapter. It was just a test, I accidentally thought I published the upcoming chapter while I was writing some and freaked out, so I published a blank one to see if they'd both show.
Luckily, the new chapter hasn't been published! Whew.

Back in the blog I did in July, I said this:
I mean christ, I've got a show at Silverstone booked for this year! And if you've read the most recent chapter of THA you'll know exactly what that is in some sense. But I don't even know if I'll be able to go, because my mother can't drive and I can't drive the car since I'm not on the insurance.
Well, turns out, I'm going!!!
Okay, so...
I've been putting off writing this for a while since I didn't know how to word it without sounding like I'm looking for excuses to delay The Horizon Adventures again. And I'm not, it's really closed to having a new chapter out now.
But to put it simply, life hasn't been great the last few months.
