I'm on the final stretch of KOTD so I'd like to take a minute and talk to you, my wonderful readers! I figured what would be more fun than to do a Q&A? Simply drop me a comment below with whatever question/comment you have (I won't give away spoilers) and I'll do my best to answer it!

Posting chapter 57 later today. I gotta be honest, I'm loving this lack of schedule. I keep having these crazy writing sprees where I'll finish a chapter, then get half way through my next chapter. I try to spread out my chapters and only post once a month just so there's some form of anticipation, however we're quickly approaching a lot of prewritten stuff and I'll probably post them once every few weeks, just so it's not another half a year before you get to read the ending.

I hated doing this, but this chapter was a bit long, so I decided to just cut it at 3500 words. I'm alright with longer chapters, but in my experience a long chapter that's mostly combat can get taxing on the reader.

Trying to spruce up the long description. The short description was a friggin' nightmare, but I'm rather set on it given its extreme limitations. Almost done with it and way ahead of my usual schedule. I'm loving this "no deadline" crap! it's nice feeling like I can just take my time and enjoy writing all over again. Hell I might just post it later today because I can. I'm debating between spending more time sprucing up the descriptions or just calling it good since there's no technical end to sprucing up.

There's a few stories that crops up every so often that have a couple similarities to mine and it sends me into this self-loathing spiral.
I keep trying to find reasons on why our stories are the same, with things like "Well in my defense, it's my first serious writing." but then I remember "Why the hell does it matter if I'm better or not?"

While my volume of writing hasn't gone up yet, I find myself with this strange urge to put more details into my scenes. I feel like I've neglected to describe Raiden's surroundings in combat and it honestly really helps the mood i want to portray.

So the last three years I've been writing KOTD, I've always had a deadline. I meant this to be longer, but due to writing conditions, I think I'm just going to cut it at a good place. I'm sorry this took so long, I meant to make it better, but the weather keeps causing issues that make it difficult to keep writing and I'm tired of waiting to post this chapter.

I had some last minute ideas I wanted to toss in and I decided to go with quality instead of just pumping out chapters. I know my schedule has been erratic, but my personal life has been in the meat grinder. I'll spare you the details lol. It's mostly done, but there's a few more things I couldn't resist adding.

Part of the reason it's been so hard to write, is it's been brutally cold here at work. Like Monday and Tuesday night, it was 4 degrees then zero degrees. My booth has these tiny, thin aluminum walls and single-pane glass so it can't really retain heat. I spend my entire shift in full winter gear and it's extremely uncomfortable. Also trying to type with thick winter gloves on, has proven more aggravating than it's worth. That and also I just don't want any of you thinking the story is dead.

Finally got some work done on the next chapter. No, the story is far from dead if you had any doubts. I have almost all the final chapters written and I'm dying to get to them since I'll be able to just breeze through it. This chapter was a bit more difficult, as I know what I want to have in it, but it feels like I have to describe a forest before I can detail a rock. Thank you all for being patient, these last few months have been brutal, but I'm finally back into the swing of things.

November, apart from thanksgiving, has been hell for me. The rommate and I got super sick for like two weeks, so the house fell into disarray. My grandpa died and we adopted a second dog. Apart from grieving, trying to do some from of housework and helping my roommate, I've had ZERO energy. Thanks for being patient!

I forgot it's still sunday. I've had very lousy results posting on the weekend.

As I suspected, the wording during the wedding party needed some sprucing up. Besides a few typos and some poor word choices, I didn't see much to change in either chapter. I might just say it's good now. I feel so bad for my fans on fanfiction.net. I like never get around to posting new chapters.

So I'm not sure what to do here. I have the next chapter ready to go and for the first time in forever, I'm ahead on chapters. Do I release it now to make up for how late the last chapter as, or use the extra time to keep working?
