Some of you might have noticed this already, but I've added automatic updates for notifications on the site now. Basically the notification count at the top will update in the background and there's a couple of ways you'll be alerted if you receive a new notification.

Toast pop up: The first is a toast popup at the bottom right of the screen. Just a little message to say you've received some notifications.

As I said I would yesterday, I added user page comments. If you go to the bottom of a user's page you can now leave comments on their pages. So yeah, enjoy.

Another blog post in 1 day? Yup.

Anyway, I've done a couple more things tonight you guys might be interested in. First, you'll notice that user pages have been totally redesigned. They're missing latest comments at the moment but they'll be back, along with user page comments.

I've also updated the blocking system so that blocked users can post comments on your stories/blog posts.

I spent the last day almost solidly working on rewriting the backend system for comments. Most of it is, obviously, transparent to you guys. The only substantial difference is that blog comments now don't suck(tm). Please let me know if anything breaks because there's a good chance I slipped up somewhere with such a huge rewrite.

Firstly, I've added a couple of RSS feeds to the site. More will be on the way but right now there's 2 you can use.
Tracked Stories: This is a feed for all the stories you're tracking, showing you when they update. You can find the link on the tracking page or the dashboard.

The old one was horribly outdated, and had wrong information which was actually worse than it not being there at all! I've tried to add all the questions I could think of that I've received several times, so what I want to know from you guys is what else would you liked to see answered on there, and if you have any further suggestions for what to do with it.

So as some of you probably noticed, we took away the related stories feature for a little while. We didn't remove it, we were just improving it. The old related stories were dumb and bad, and they probably killed an orphan or something. We decided to do something about it by dragging the old feature out back Old Yeller style, and giving it a makeover!
