This seems appropiate to post here...

For those who are not a student of history, the world has been in more or less been in conflict. But not between the rich and poor, ideologies, or for pride, though these are factors. The world has been at war between those who wish to be free, and those who wish to live or to put others under a boot.

And now we come to our game, Assassin's Creed, which in a way no story or game has done before or since except for one that leaps to mind, tries to tell the tale of humans.

The Assassin's: A group dedicated to the concept of personal freedom and responsibility.
The Templar: A group dedicated to order and peace

Both sides have their valid points, and at times are amazingly similar. Now, with the Assassin's philosophy, we have freedom. A precarious gift, easily misused. And when misused, easily lost. Even when used properly, those who are free run risks, for this philosophy offers no guarantees, and demands personal responsibility.

The Templars, conversely, are arbiters of order and peace. A fine goal. Through them, ones life and security is assured. No crime, no violence. All they need is your unquestioning obedience. (want a real life example? Go check Chatoyances stuff. Closest person I've ever seen to a Templar.)

Here's the difference: If a Assassin see's people brawling, if they can, they will try to stop it. So will a Templar. But a Templar will stop there. The reasons don't matter as long as the fight stops. See the difference?

To put it into another perspective, lets look at some of the Conversion Bureau: To be human or a pony. Humans must suffer and toil on a harsh world, but we are free to think and speak as we choose, at least is some countries. The Newfoals are granted a new world and body, longer life, and are always happy. But they do not choose to be. Their so called "evil" parts of their humanity are locked away, their forms twisted.

Both sides, Assassin's and Templars, are legitimate. One believes that order will give us a future, the other that personal freedom and responsibility will help us rise above it all. Thoughts, opinions?

Ultimate Goal of Islamic Supremacist: order and peace. Only they believe that can be done with Sharia law and converting other nations to Islam, or failing that, terrifying others into silence. Basically Templar with a religious twist

Go to hell and take your deep ideologies with you!

It seems that you made an intresting post.
Ok im in.

I say if the Templars came to an agrement with the Assasin's they could create a world made of peace were everyone has the rights to do what they want wich lies in the range of law and order.

Wow this sounds strange.

Freedom and order cant live with out one another. It like light and dark. Freedom will turn into chaos or order will turn into tyranny. There need to be balane for both of them

True enough, but we should always strive for more of the former then the latter
