So we know how things went with the fighting between the Commander's Squad and the Ethereals on their world, but how do you think that it went on the ground back on Earth while he/she was busy taking the fight to the aliens?

I think in the cities it was total chaos, buildings burning, with Advent gunning down anything in their way while the few resistance fighters tried to fight and civilians using things like cars or Molotovs, any and all improvised weapons, to fight the Advent forces.

While out in the wild where the Resistance forces made their homes/fortifications I picture it being a lot more like The Terminator, a few armed and determined rebels holding off a tidal wave of Advent troopers and machines, with tech they either scrounged up or things given to them by X-Com and other resistance cells.

But what do you think?
