Well, here's a what-if scenario.

What-if: In Celestia's School of Gifted Unicorns, the system works the same way? And who would be the Head Professors of each houses?

It would most likely end up as Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Ponies

The Six Houses would be based on the Six Pillars
Starswirl's would have a great emphasis on magic over all, so more of a Unicorn focus
Meadowbrook's healing
Mistmane's enchantments
Rookhoof's would be in line for Earth Ponies to tap into their superior strength
Flash Magnus' would be geared more towards pegasi... not sure how
Somnumbla's.... I got nothing

Celestia would definitely be the head master with Luna as the head of the Starswirl house, unless we are using the Equestian founders as head professors then Clover the Clever would be Starswirl, Smart Cookie- Rockhoof, Hurricane-Flash Magnus, Puddinghead - Somnambula, Platinium - Mistmane and Pansy for Meadowbrook, unless we do the Gen 1 that Lauren Faust wanted to use
