Got myself a small idea of furry meets ponies, and I'm looking for 2 space fairing furry species for said fic. I'm leaning towards the lead being an Avali, but I'm having trouble panning out the details. I would also like some details on the varying species. Are they a species that values Honor and the like?

Details from what they are now is, two species are in transit to a prison colony on a distant planet, only for the ship to get destroyed by accidentally flying through a meteor cloud, and our two prisoners find their way aboard a life pod, and crash land on an uncharted planet(Equus).
That's what I got for now... any ideas, criticisms?
