When you think about it the end of A Canterlot Wedding part two the love blast from Cadence and Shining most likely killed hundreds of Changelings. No being (magical or otherwise) could survive falling from a great height after being launched into the next nation, and if most of those drones died from being flung into the distance by concentrated love, whose to say that those who were closer to the epicenter suffered a much more horrific death? When you realize that you start to feel really bad for Chrysalis.

When you consider what the Cutie Mark Crusaders have tried in the past to get their cutie marks and the potential for disaster that some promised, yet never delivered, you have to consider the possibility that Equestria has some sort of natural protective energy that does not allow such tragedies and as such, even Changelings would be protected from going 'SPLAT'.
