The following post includes the current rules of this group. These rules detail how you should act in the group and in its forums. Depending on which rule is broken and how important it is, there will be differing punishments.

This is Abbeybunny13 here with the rules of how to act in "Name That Character!". Depending on what's going on in this group and its forums, new rules will be added regularly. The content of these new and existing rules is entirely up to the admins and contributors of the group.

Rule #1: When voting/suggesting a vote on a character name, only vote once or make only one suggestion. This is only to make things fair. If someone finds out you've been "cheating" you'll be let off with a warning. If you do it again, you will be "kicked" from the group for one hour. Subsequent rule breakings add to the "kick time" an hour each time you break the rule. If you don't break the rule again for at least two weeks, your kick limit will be abolished. If you break the rule again after two weeks, you'll only be warned.

Rule #2: Audience tags. Currently, stories with the audience tags "Everyone", "Teen", and "Mature" are allowed. If anyone causes any incident in which a certain audience tag is temporarily not allowed in the group, you will be "kicked" for two months.

Rule #3: No cursing or bullying in the forums. Here at "Name That Character!", we want users to feel safe. Depending on the incident, if you curse at and/or bully someone, your punishment will range up to being "kicked" for two weeks, being "kicked" for two months, to being banned forever.

Rule #4: When there are too many character suggestion posts and polls, it is the contributors' job to remove them. We want the forums to stay pretty clean so users can always find the newest character suggestions posts and name polls, so the contributors in the group must delete posts and polls that are at least three weeks old to keep things fresh. If you are a contributor in the group and you are not deleting old posts, you will only be warned every time you break the rule because it would be ridiculous if someone was "kicked" or banned over not deleting old posts.

Rule #5: If you want a higher rank in this group, you must earn it. In other words, you can't become a contributor or admin just by sending someone a PM asking to be one. If you are not breaking any rules or anything, an admin will send you a PM saying that you have become a contributor. Continue to not break rules and do your job, you will become an admin. If you keep annoying any admins about becoming a higher rank, you will only be warned. It would be ridiculous if someone was "kicked" or banned just for being annoying (under some circumstances).

Rule #6: Contributors. A contributor in this group has a few things to do:
1. Keep watch for any trolls, bullies, and members not following the rules in the forums
2. Be on cleanup duty and delete posts that are at least three weeks old
3. Follow the rules

If you don't follow these things, you will be let off with a warning. Continue to not do your job and you will be temporarily downgraded to a regular member until you send an admin an apology via PM.

Rule #7: Admins. An admin should be automatically assumed by both regular members and contributors as a symbol of authority and progress. An admin should always do these things:
1. Keep watch for any trolls, bullies, and members not following the rules in the forums
2. Follow the rules
3. Be a good role model for regular members and contributors
4. Know when to "promote" members of the group
5. Correctly examine the rules so you know when and how long you should ban someone
6. Make new polls

If you don't follow these things, you will be let off with a warning. Continue to not do your job and you will be temporarily downgraded to a contributor until you send an admin an apology via PM.

Rule #8: Only admins are able to "promote" members. To make sure that nobody in the group is making everybody contributors and admins for no particular reason, only admins are allowed to "promote" members. When admins are thinking about "promoting" a specific member of the group, they must talk it out over PMs.

If you are not an admin and you "promote" someone, you will be "kicked" for three days.

Rule #9: Only admins are allowed to make polls. This rule is in place because we want to keep the forum nice and clean without overflow. If you are not an admin and you create a poll, you will be let off with a warning. If you do this again, you'll be "kicked" for an hour. Keep doing this and your "kick time" will keep going up by an hour each. If you don't break the rule again for at least two weeks, your kick limit will be abolished. If you break the rule again after two weeks, you'll only be warned.

If anyone in the group finds these rules either too strict or a certain rule should be removed, send me or any other admin a PM.
