Here's a fic that someone should write, a slice of life fic with comedy and a hint of adventure.

A kind-hearted unicorn stallion who fantasies and dreams about going on epic adventures with a pretty and intelligent mare.
A taciturn and intelligent pegasus stallion who found a job on the weather team and is also the strongest member of the group.
An optimistic earth pony mare who's trying to become a photographer.
An earth pony stallion who spends most of his time pulling little pranks and provoking others.
And a scatter brain unicorn mare who enjoys reading scary stories.

The fic just focuses on them living in their new home and struggling with every day things. Like how they'll pay for rent, how to tell your crush how you feel, what to do when your being pressured into something, typical slice of life stuff that's similar to the show. They also befriend the main 6 and even have a few moments and lessons from them, like the pegasus stallion having a crush on Rainbow Dash for example. Along the way, the OC group finds this mysterious artifact that slowly unravels a bunch of clues about a secret gateway in the everfree forest. They don't know what's on the other side or where to find it, but they believe that these clues to the gateway might have something to do with the events they've been encountering.
