Technically she can be a pony, it all depends on what you thin. Think of it this way. The Diamond dogs from Equestria turned into humans, and a dragon turned into a dog. Obviously that means they have to be something resembling each other, or perhaps fur means human. anyway, if fur means human(like in the DD's case and the ponies too) then scaled animals like spike would turn into dogs. Right?...... Right? But then we have the sirens, who are humans in the other world but hippocampi here. how's that possible.
