It's simple, but it's one extra number. Also, if you wanted to read anything at all, you'd still need to know the old system. So, you'd have to know two systems. I think it's better to have one system that isn't perfect than two systems. We already have one that we agreed upon, and I think it's better to stick with this one than change it every few years for maximum confusion.
